School Holiday Program
PHASE School Holiday Program and Social Club
Our School Holiday Program has been designed to ensure young people can access a range of fun and exciting activities during the school holidays whilst still benefiting from group dynamics. As a group supported program there is considerable flexibility and most activities can be accessed on any day during the school holidays.
At PHASE, we understands there is a need for suitable school holiday programs for children and young people of all ages and abilities. Feedback from parents and health professionals indicates that mainstream programs are not always equipped to handle young people with special needs or complex behaviours. Accessing community based programs gives the young people a range of activities to chose from.
You may be interested in a number of activities but you are unsure if your child can come and attend due to funding restrictions, please talk to us and we may be in a position to help. You can also talk to your Local Area Coordinator about this and link them up with us to work out a plan that is going to work for you.
Our social club initiative is designed as a hub for individuals with common interests to meet and enjoy leisure activities. Individual attending this club will develop strong social skills, build public confidence and team dynamics. A support worker with strong team-player work ethics is on hand to supervise and provide direction on the day.
Activities can include a movie, picnic, going to see a popular show at the local pub (age appropriate venues) or a drive to the local markets for a wonder. It is what best works for the group that matters.
If you are looking for information about the cost of individual activities, or would like to know if the activity you are interested in can run on another day, please speak with our School Holiday Program Coordinator on 0418 750 524.
